We're gonna need a bigger boat

It was a very sunny day today so I had a quick ride down to the beach and took some shots for the store. Here is the result...

Also got an exciting call from BEP

The posters are ready.

The van is loaded.

Tomorrow they shall be mine...

  1. these are all amazing!
    I am so getting one.

  2. also, if you are giving them away for people who guess them correctly, then this one is JAWS

  3. Ha Ha... I'm afraid you need to keep guessing - whoever has the highest when we hit 100. Will get the first of four prizes. There will be three one-off posters and something special at the end of the year.

You are also the first one to notice that even the text entries have films in them... so...

    You're on the board.

  4. So, I would really like to get points for some of these (the few i know), but I'm not really sure when you post new ones. I end up checking here a few times a day and the movie has already been guessed by the time i see it.

I had the idea that maybe for a few hours after you put up a new poster, you could make the comments invisible (but still enabled). After a predetermined amount of time all the comments would show up and everyone with the correct answer would get a point. Obviously this would increase the number of points you award, but i think it would make the guessing a bit more fair.

I don't want to try to tell you how run your site/contest, this was just my humble opinion.

  5. I need to get back on the horse here!

  6. @Axton No, no - you're quite right and it has been praying on my mind. What with BIG-A-VISION and store shoots I kind of forgot to address this...

So let me get this straight. If I switch on approval for comments they will remain invisible till I I approve them?

If this is the case then I think I should allow something like the first 5 or 10 correct answers a point.

Then I would approve them all and they would appear?

Is this how it would work I'm not super-clued on the comments options

  7. Um, i am really unsure but judging by the reference to a van and the beach picture I'm gonna say "The Van"

  8. And can i get bonus points for naming that typeface? Cause it looks an awful lot like Cooper Black... Which is my lame way of finding an excuse to share this amazing Period Table of Typefaces, if you haven't already seen it.
